Winter Newsletter

Greetings from Kettle Moraine Counseling!  It's very cold out today but I do enjoy the sunshine.  We have some changes here at the clinic.  Natalie Eddy LPC and Rebecca Whiting LPC are busy working their practices and are increasing their hours to accommodate clients.  I have included their bio's in this newsletter.  Danielle Sectzer LPC has started in our Cedarburg office and we are happy to welcome her!  She will see children 11 and older and adults.  Welcome Danielle!  Deb Graf LPC is now at our Cedarburg location on Wednesdays.   We are sad to announce that Erin Perez LPC will no longer be working with us but we wish her well on her new adventure!

The Danish have a concept called hygge which is not easy to translate but means creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people.  They have long cold dark winters also but they are some of the happiest people according to research.  I have been practicing hygge this winter and it is helping!  Some of the ways I have done this are by socializing more and planning social events (sometimes difficult for an introvert), keeping a fire going whether a candle or a real fire, warm blankets on the sofa, good movies and books.  And I am working on NOT complaining about the weather, although I am not as successful with that as I would like.  I bought snowshoes last year that I have not used yet, but I think this weekend is the perfect opportunity.  One of our therapists, Julianne Morrison, does a lot of outdoor activities in winter (hiking, biking, snowshoeing) and I admire that about her.

We have openings for clients, and as always we do take state insurance.   Stay warm and practice some hygge with the remaining winter.                     Best,  Devona Marshall
