Lynn Gillian Nowak joins our practice!



Lynn is a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor and Licensed Professional in Training. 
She enjoys working with adults and teens who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, stress, and substance abuse. 

Through therapy, individuals receive support from a licensed professional, who helps them work to resolve conflicts within themselves and with others, understand feelings related to their struggles and try out new solutions to problems.


Lynn has over 10 years of experience in working with teens struggling with life issues, including substance abuse and relationships. 

She also has many years of experience working with people who have had trouble with the law related to substance abuse. Lynn also enjoys working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and other life struggles. She looks forward to working with people guiding them down the path of wellness and recovery.

20 years married!

We are in Italy celebrating our 20 year anniversary. We were young when we got married and we had many ups and downs. I really like being married to Steve, and because we grew and changed together, we adapted to what each of us needs in a partner. He takes very good care of me and supports me in all things that I want to do; he is protective and always has my back. I like to think that I have given him stability, challenged him to grow, and adventure- I can get bored easily and need to keep life interesting! Steve helped heal all my insecurities that I carried with me for such a long time, and that is truly one of the biggest gifts ever. So when I see clients' insecurities, I have much compassion- it is so painful to feel like we are not good enough in some ways, or in all ways. Myers Briggs Typology- Introversion and Extroversion

I got introduced to Myers Briggs personality profiles over ten years ago, and I have been using it since then, both professionally and in my personal life. I am not one to pigeon hole people and put a lot of value on tests, but knowing who I am and who others are (particularly my family) has been very helpful for those relationships. My profile is an INFP. Introverted, intuitive, feeling, perceiver. What that means in a nutshell- I get my energy from being alone or with one or two other people, I like ideas, possibilities and the future, I relate to people from an emotional aspect, and I tend to not like structure, set schedules and can have a difficult time making decisions. My husband is very extroverted (energy comes from being with people and social interactions) and for years I tried to change him and make him more like me! It didn't work, thank goodness.
